Look back on the semester or time that you've been here in journalism and think about:

• what you learned about journalism or yourself- Well what i learned about journalism is that you just don't write all day long , you sometimes do things that require you to go online &e etc.

• what you liked about the class- to be honest  i really didn't like this class because its way to long & boring to me because all we dois write ,research ,& read articles 
• what you didn't like about the class- what don't i like about this class is tat we never get any free time even though we sometimes get done early with our work.
• what you would like to see next semester or if you took this class again- well like i said earlier when i got switched into this class was that this class was going to be super boring to me,& no.
• what grade do you think you deserve and why - be specific!- i think i deserve an A because i do most of the work if not then a B at least 

Tell me about reaction to yesterday presentation by Roy juarez jr

Yesterday in the presentation we learned so much about how  grown man's child hood & how difficult& hard his life was growing up. Roy's speech was about how he was homeless at 7 years old because his two older sister  left roy with his little brother (baby ray) , little sister & his mother . so after they began homeless, they had  go into hiding because of the dad had been beating the mom real bad lately, so every time the dad will find roy& them. Roy &  remain of the family would go from home to home just to survive. well  Roy's story made me feel that im lucky to has parents who love me & who care for me, also that i have a place to stay & eat.So i just wanna say that his story was a very interesting story to hear.

CNN NEWS POST

i chose to write about 3 topics which are rare dolphins , where was seen chasing after boat & its was about 200-300 dolphins swimming towards the boat. my second topic was that there was a 12 feet giant squid in some ocean who got eating up by a shark & other sea animals, there was some people who came up on the giant squid who was already dead  & then they tried to bring it onto the boat so that they could study the 12 foot giant squid more . my last topic was about the people sailing 3,000 feet to see a 60 foot squid, i think that a 60 foot giant squid is crazy , but also the people said its compared to a 40 foot bus, 26 giant foot squid & kobe who is 6'6.

VANDELS

vandalism is a very serious offense & if they just vandalize people's property for no reason they are going to jail because they will be called for burglary & also vandalism. what does vandalism mean to me? well vandalism means when someone tears/messes up someone's car ,like keying the car which is when someone gets a key & then puts it on the car to make a like a sliver line going around the whole car. i also think vandalism is when somebody goes into someone's house & just knocks over everything in the house & just leave like nothing happen.

MY WINTER VACATION

 Over my Winter Break I stayed home the first week of break  because christmas was that following tuesday & because christmas was on tuesday. I'm not sure if I stayed home but I forgot what i did the rest of the week. But mostly I kinda got everything i asked for especially on the games except one, which the game was called Spec Ops which i heard has to do something with black ops i guess. Well christmas treated me well because i got to see most of family that i haven't seen in a while , but overall i had a good time on the day of christmas. The  Next week after christmas , I had nothing else to do. so i came out to point loma to stay at my friend Noah Hargrove for new years because i didn't want to spend new years at home doing absolutely nothing. So on new years eve,  we were trying to get out the house to do something. so later in the day we found some people to hang out with on new years, so the rest of that day we drove around for a while then went to denny's for new years then  they dropped us off at home

What Do Others Think?

what do most people you talked to seem to think? 

Most people  seem to think that bullying is making someone feel selfconious,feeling depressed,hurt,&harassing. They also said that most of them have been bullied or teased by other people & etc. Most people say that the punishment should be expulsion & Dentention because of all types of bullying. The people i interviewed said that their opinion of bullying is that why can't they be friends with each other.

 Do you see a pattern in the responses?

yes i see a pattern , they all have the same opinions on  what they think about bullying& how they think is wrong.

Gun control & safety

Well I'm  very depressed with what happen in Newtown,Connecticut because why would he kill 28 people for no reason.I wonder what made this guy kill all those  nice& greatful kids for no reason, also what made Adam Lanza want to kill his mom, all those teachers ,& little kids that went to newton. many people in the U.S want the guy rules to tighten up a lot because of the many shootings in the other states as well. i personally think that they should tighten up on gun because people/ kids are getting killed for no reason & also because it makes no sense to me that people buy guns in the uses them in a dumb act of violence such as a robby,drive by & etc.

what's important to you?

1.What's important to you? I would say that's what's most important to me is Family,Friends & my pets. Without them I would be one lonely lost child in the world not knowing what to do or anything, &  without family ,friends,&  my pets I wouldn't have no one to go to If I was down or needed someone to talk to.
2.What do you care most about? I mostly care about Family & Friends Because Without them I don't know How I Would Live My Life.  
3.What goals do you have for your future? The Goals I Have Are:

• To Make It Through High School & Life
• To Get A Scholarship For Football 
•  To Make My Family Proud Of Me Making It Through High School 
• To Graduate College
• To Go To The NFL
• To Live LIfe Long As I can 

4.What motivates you to do your best and keep you focused on your goals?
What Motivates Me To Do My Best Is When My Mom's Pushes Me To get My Grades Up & Also What Motivates Me To Do my best Is When My Friends & Family Say " I Know You Can Do Better Than That' & Get Better Grades than that.



I would encourage them to stay focus & movtivaed  by telling them some of my mistakes that i had through out my school life & hopefully they dont do what i did in middle school/elementary. i would aslo in encourage them to stay focused on school because school is very important & also you need your education to get at least a job or at least money in your life so that you could have a decent home or etc.

1) Which news story did you select? Why? I Chose Drinking Age Debate because all of the other stories were closed & they didn't really interest me on choosing them.
2) Which perspective or side did you choose? Why? The Perspective I choose was that they should reduce the drinking age to 18 because  people who fight in the war & that is 18 , should be able to go back home  & grab a Beer or whatever without getting in trouble by the law because their an adult now.
3) What did you decide should happen? Why? I Decide that they should lower the drinking age because that's not fair for the people who are 18 so be able to drink anyway because they are adult now that there 18.
4) What was your prediction? Explain. i predict that they should change so that the 18 year old's should be able to drink like everybody else who isn't 18 but still drink.
5) What do you think about this kind of interactive news approach? i found this news story interesting because of the fact that people wanna lower the drinking age so that everyone could be treated fairly in life even though, life isn't fair.

These Images affect my connection to  the story being reported because in one of the photos , It was a similar situation because I once had to leave my house because of a huge fire that was close by my house.


NOUPE task 2:
This Image speaks to me because of how the kids in this photo are not at home with their mom, but there out with there dad while is drinking & etc. The real reason why this Image speaks to me is because of how there letting this little boy smoke period & also smoking  with the dad standing right there. i say they shouldn't let little boys smoke in St.Jacques period.

  Why has this subject been selected?  I chose this photo because it seems like a easy photo to talk/write about.
 Why is this topic worth reporting on? I say its worth reporting on because this clock is Famous in London& it has a lot of history to it.
  How did the photojournalist gain access to get this photo? They would to go to a website that has the Big Ben clock which is in London
   How does this image help tell the story? It  helps tells the story about the clock which got it's name "Big Ben" & aslo it looks like its been in London for a very long time.






Final task: I say that my opinion on photojournalism has stayed the same because like i said before , i Don't really like photojournalism because it's really boring to me & just a waist of time & also i rather be doing something else than photojournalism.

What kind of education do you need to become a photojournalist?
you need to pursue a bachelor's degree programs.many schools offer a 4-year college degree  in photograohy & you can also take online class or through hands-on experience. if a university doesn't offer a bachelor's degree in photojournalism,students can also major in photography& minor in journalism.
What's one school that has a photojournalism program?
 Boston university in Boston,Massachusetts has a photojournalism program.
What kind of pay might you expect to earn as a photojournalist? 
they get paid makes between $14,000 and $54,748 per year & they average $1,110 & $4,562 per month.




What would you need to do to prepare for a job interview as a photojournalist?
well you need to know how to use a expensive camera & some kind of expereice on what journalism is & also how to edit the photos & etc.
Would you consider this as a possible profession/job in your future?  Why or why not?
well to be honest no, i say no because this is not something i would really wanna do in life, i would rather do something else like  hang out with friends or go play basketball /football.

 THE GREAT DEBATE  WAS DIRECTED BY DENZEL WASHINGTON , STARING DENZEL WASHINGTON,FOREST WHITAKER,NATE PARKER,DENZEL WHITAKER IS BASED ON A TRUE STORY , WHERE A DEBATE COACH WHO GATHERS A GROUP OF STUDENTS FROM A SMALL COLLEGE FROM EAST TEXAS TO FORM A DEBATE TEAM WHO GIVES HARVARD ELITE SQUAD A RUN FOR THIER MONEY. AS A GREAT PROFESSOR FROM WILEY COLLEGE , MR TOLSON  PUT JIM CROW'S LAW TO TO THE TEST OF DISCRIMINATORY IN THE 1930'S.
 MY OPINION OF THE MOVIE IS THAT , THIS A VERY GOOD MOVIE BECAUSE IT TALKS ABOUT HOW WE GOT SOME OF OUR RIGHTS . I THINK THAT THE MOVIE WAS GOOD BECAUSE OF HOW THE ACTORS ACTED THIER PART OUT IN THE MOVIE. OVERALL IN  THE MOVIE I SAY THAT HENRY LOWE ( NATE PARKER) WAS THE BEST ACTOR BECAUSE HE BELIEVED IN HIS SELF THAT THEY COULD WIN THE DEBATE AGAINST HARVARD & I ALSO THINK HE IS THE BEST ACTOR BECAUSE HE COULD BACK UP WHAT HE WAS DEBATING ABOUT. I WOULD RECOMMEND SOMEONE WHO LIKES TO DEBATE ABOUT THINGS TO GO SEE THIS MOVIE BECAUSE THEY COULD TAKE THE DEBATE SUBJECTS FROM THE MOVIE & MAYBE DEBATE THEM AT SCHOOL. TO  BE  HONEST I WOULD NOT WANNA SEE THIS MOVIE  AGAIN BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE WOULD MAKE SOME DUMB COMMENTS DURING THE MOVIE & SOME PEOPLE WOULD GET MAD WITH THAT PERSON WHO MADE THE COMMENT.

I would vote for Obama again, because the reason i would vote him because he seems like the person who know's what he is doing in the president spotlight, i would also vote for him because he would have to work harder on his promises he made this year as being re-elected as president for 2 more terms & he could take care of his promises he made to america.
